Mount Pleasant Estates strives to provide oenophiles with the ultimate escape.
Founded in 1859, Mount Pleasant is located in the Augusta Appellation, the first government-appointed wine-growing district in the United States. The original hand-dug cellars, completed in 1881, were built from wood and the abundant limestone in the area. Also on property is the “oven house” where bricks were made and used to build the foundations of the original winery buildings.
Situated on Mount Pleasant’s sprawling campus are the Crush Lounge, Appellation Café, hand carved cellars dating back to the mid 1800’s, the Tasting Room, and a beautiful event venue. Mount Pleasant hosts live music on weekends in season on the expansive patio overlooking the river valley.
